NoDataNoBusiness (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Google Sheets add-ons, ImportJSON and ImportFromWeb (the “Add-ons”).

By using our Add-ons, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

First, we collect only the data necessary to provide and improve our Add-ons. This includes:

1.1 Data from Google services

When you use our Add-ons, we may access the following Google user data:

  • Google Account information: the email address, last name and first name if available
  • Spreadsheet Metadata: the meta data about the spreadsheet the add-on has been enabled on, including the name and ID of the spreadsheet, timezone, and viewers.
  • User-Entered Data: only the content of the spreadsheet that has been specifically entered by the user for the specific use of the add-on.
  • Connection Data: the IP addresses and usage logs for security and performance monitoring.

NoDataNoBusiness does not have access to any other property beyond the spreadsheet where the user has explicitly enabled the add-on.

1.2 Automatically collected information

Additionally, we may collect technical information such as:

  • Usage statistics (e.g., feature interactions) to improve our services
  • Log data, including timestamps and system performance analytics

1.3 Other data

We access end-user data or business data when they pay for our services using our Payment System Provider Stripe. 

This includes: economic and financial information (e.g., billing address, company name, VAT number, bank account details).

2. How we use your information and personal data

NoDataNoBusiness only uses collected data for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our Add-ons
  • To authenticate users and enable core functionalities
  • To notify users about feature updates and service improvements through emails or add-on notifications
  • To analyze usage trends and enhance user experience
  • To comply with legal obligations

We may use your email address to send important service-related notifications, as well as information about Add-ons developed by NoDataNoBusiness. You may opt out of these communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us at support@nodatanobusiness.com.

NoDataNoBusiness does not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties except for essential service providers (i.e., providers in relation to the services offered by the Add-ons). The list of third-party subprocessors is available in Section 4.

3.  Data storage & security

3.1 Where your data is stored

Data is securely stored using OVHCloud with industry-standard encryption.

We implement strict access controls to prevent unauthorized access.

3.2 Data retention & deletion

We retain user data only as long as necessary for providing our services.

Users can simply uninstall the Add-on if they no longer wish to use it. 

However, Google does not provide a way for NoDataNoBusiness to automatically detect when a user has uninstalled the add-on, meaning that user data is not deleted automatically.

To request the deletion of personal data, users must send a request to support@nodatanobusiness.com. NoDataNoBusiness will process the deletion request within 30 days. Secure deletion methods are applied to ensure the complete removal of personal data.

3.3 Data protection mechanisms for sensitive data

NoDataNoBusiness ensures the security and confidentiality of the Personal Data it processes through the followings: 

  • Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard encryption protocols (SSL/TLS protocols)
  • Access Control: Strict authentication and authorization measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Data Minimization: Only the minimum necessary personal data is collected and processed.
  • Logging and Monitoring: System logs are maintained to track access and modifications to personal data.

4. Third-party subprocessors

To operate our services, we use trusted third-party subprocessors. And we do not share, disclose or transfer your information to these third parties for purposes other than the ones listed below:

  • Brevo – Used to send emails, including transactional and marketing communications.
  • Google Sign-In – Enables users to sign in securely to our platform.
  • Postmark – Sends transactional emails such as account confirmations and notifications.
  • Stripe – Processes payments securely.
  • Google Analytics – Collects anonymized usage data to analyze website and app performance.

All these subprocessors comply with strict security and privacy regulations

5. Compliance with Google API Services user data policy

NoDataNoBusiness complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy. Our Add-ons adhere to strict security and privacy standards when accessing and processing Google user data.

6. Legal compliance

NoDataNoBusiness processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including but not limited to:

  • The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU Regulation 2016/679) for European users.
  • Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 for users in France.
  • The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for users in California.

7. Your rights & choices

As a user, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct or update inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data

8. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this policy periodically. If significant changes occur, we will notify you via email or add-on notifications.
